YOTSUYA
This small concentrate of Japanese living art has existed for almost 20 years and is being held with thanks by Mr. Sukuzi, from the Tokyo area whose name was used to name the shop. A place full of charms that decline as the quintessence of nippy life at reasonable prices. Everything is imported directly from Japan and entering this store is putting a foot in the country of the sun-Levant. On the spot, the finesse, minimalism and discreet sophistication of the Japanese craftsmanship meet in each object. Shop of small riders and very beautiful things, it surprises and offers you these numerous discoveries that delight or crack: ceramics (bowls, plates, teapots), kakejiku (tables to hang), vases, old dolls, noren (large pieces of fabric), kimonos, luminaires with Japanese look. Archipelago of temptations, we love the various objects and potteries in Raku (method of nippone ceramics), Kakemono or kakejiku rolls (listed ideograms or prints, essential to the tea ceremony), the frameworks representing the masks of the Nô… Table art, drapes, lamps, curtains, bed covers, Zori sandals (rice straw) or Geta (in flammed pine), traditional low tables, everything is there to redecorate its interior and remind the filmmaker Ozu. The reception is a nice courtesy which can be accompanied at your request by the owner's scholarship: ancestral uses and methods of production will no longer have any secrets for you.
