ONIRIS
Oniris is a contemporary art gallery that is distinguished by its gray storyteller. Set up in front of the cinema in the Arvor in 1986, this gallery mainly offers painting in the field of abstraction. Here nothing figurative, an art where the explanation seems essential to appropriate the works. To do this, Yvonne Paumelle, mistress of the places, and his son Florent, will guide you, enlighten you with the work of artists. Alain Clément, Norman Dilworth, Geneviève Asse, Julie Knefer… The list of people with whom Oniris works is made up of confirmed artists with often international reputation. The works presented are recent works and the gallery welcomes around five exhibitions a year. Being in Rennes for Oniris is a way of making contemporary art accessible to a population who would otherwise be forced to climb the capital! A second exhibition room exists in the backyard of the gallery. You will find more "simple" creations, silkscreen prints and sculptures as well as some older works. A very professional place where the reception and love of art have found their masters.
