CAFÉ CORTINA
Located in the city, in a street parallel to the main arteries, Anne and Thierry run this real old-fashioned bistro in the purest 1930s style with its decoration and period aesthetics from the front to the estaminet-style furniture that plunges us into the atmosphere of old movies. Everything is colorful and warm and it's easy to feel like you're back in a time when bistros were centers of community life, and where everyone was brought together and exchanged with their neighbors. A simple place with a warm spirit, it has an artistic soul that attracts many activities: knitting cafés, tango or milonga classes, concerts, dance parties, chess, conversation workshops in French and English, exhibitions. Like any place of life, one can come there for a coffee at dawn, an aperitif after work around a board or to eat: Thierry proposes simple but delectable recipes, revisited in his sauce. At lunchtime, the two proposed dishes are tasty and the desserts are enchanting. For an attractive price, you can treat yourself but be careful, you must reserve. It is a timeless place that deserves to be known, which cultivates in us the nostalgia of simpler and softer times.
