JAZZ À L'OUEST
Jazz lovers and enthusiasts alike will find something to suit them among the many concerts on offer at this legendary music festival.
Jazz à l'Ouest plays with cultures and has fun with genres as autumn arrives in the Breton capital. Born in 1989, this festival appeared thanks to the passion of Bernard Landat (director) and Alain Bioteau (programmer). For more than thirty years, there has been Jazz in the West and prestigious guests, but also emerging artists who now make the beautiful days of the French scene, even international. An event not to be missed by amateurs, playing with novelties, stagings and more classic things: We see great jazz ensembles, but also ensembles at the crossroads of influences. During 3 weeks, the artists take turns to transport you in various places: the castle of Apigné, the Diapason, the Péniche Spectacle... But also libraries and MJC. We could meet Karim Ziad, Bonnaire, Lucky Peterson, James Carter's, Snarky Puppy, Mélanie Di Biasio, Ester Rada, Green Milk, La Machine Ronde... Enough to make your head jazzy.
