LES JOURNÉES EUROPÉENNES DU PATRIMOINE
In 2019, the 36th edition of the European Heritage Days will celebrate a new theme and, above all, will allow everyone to have access to multiple sites and monuments. Established in 1984 by the Ministry of Culture, the mission of the European Heritage Days is to showcase the cultural wealth of each country in the Union. This European event now involves more than forty countries and, of course, the city of Rennes. Its great advantage is that it allows visitors to visit establishments, monuments and places traditionally closed to the public, all free of charge or at a reduced price! Over the course of a weekend, it is therefore an opportunity to discover Rennes' heritage in the broadest sense of the term, whether it be masterpieces of civil or religious architecture, vestiges of industrial activity, parks and gardens, archaeological sites, or even literary, river or military heritage. An initiative that offers everyone the opportunity to access our... heritage! To you places like the Courcy hotel, the prefecture hotel of the Region, the Oberthür residence, the Tétiot du Demaine hotel or the agrocampus of the West. Visit the website of the Ministry of Culture for more information.
