Orchestre de Bretagne, founded in 1989, brings together almost fifty string, wind and percussion musicians. This group gives over a hundred symphonic concerts and recitals each year in France and abroad. What characterize Orchestre de Bretagne are its symphonic concerts, chamber music, master classes, school concerts, meetings, movie-concert and many other exciting festivities. In 2014, nearly thirty towns hosted events of the Orchestre. Recognized on the international scene, Orchestre de Bretagne participates in prestigious festivals like on the Konzerthaus of Vienna stage for example. Every summer in August, it also offers three evenings of free concerts to Rennes and music lovers in different places of the city. Orchestre de Bretagne enables the public to attend repetitions and the youngest to enjoy instrument discovery workshops.
