YAOUANK
This event honours contemporary Breton music and concludes with a giant fest-noz at the Rennes Expo Park.
The Yaouank festival ("young" in Breton) honors the Breton musical tradition, its richness and its dynamism. The Musikhall hosts the biggest fest-noz of the region, in a lively atmosphere. Traditional Celtic music is revisited by new genres (electro, hip-hop, punk ...) and big names such as Alan Stivell or Denez Prigent have passed to Yaouank. Numerous fest-noz are also organized in bars or concert halls of the city and give you the opportunity to learn Breton dances.
