The Rennes Astronomy Company was founded in 1974. Since then, she has consistently promoted astronomy and observer observation through his numerous activities. It has a complete observatory with no less than three domes installed in the municipality of La Couyère (La Ville d 'Abas - La Couyère astronomy center), 34 km south of Rennes. This is where she organizes about once a month a full evening of observation and introduction to astronomy, free and accessible to all. A "solar road" is also proposed in the village, pedagogical routes according to several levels of understanding that reproduce the solar system on a reduced scale. Finally, this astronomy center also has a fully equipped planetarium.
