Rennes Métropole supports pédibus-related initiatives. It is a question of allowing the physical exercise of children to go to school and to accompany them. Pédibus and vélobus therefore consist of transporting the children on the home-to-school route. The children are then supervised by parents with fluorescent bibs. Groups of children are formed in specific locations and have a specific schedule. Rennes Métropole helps parents, children, teachers and municipalities to set up a pédibus, composed of one or more school-driven tours. This is why a "kit" is proposed to help implement a pédibus in a school. Other elements are provided as a methodological guide, model forms of survey forms, film, information booklet, or even exhibit to be presented for example at year-end school festivals.
