AGROCAMPUS OUEST (INSTITUT NATIONAL D’ENSEIGNEMENT SUPÉRIEUR ET DE RECHERCHE AGRONOMIQUE ET AGROALIMENTAIRE DE RENNES)
Founded in 2008, Agrocampus West is the product of the alliance of two large public engineering schools, namely the Agrocampus Rennes (National Institute for Higher Education and Agronomic Research and Agri-Food in Rennes) and the National Institute for Horticulture and Landscape (INH) in Angers. The centre of Rennes is the heart of a large and powerful cluster of multidisciplinary agricultural research and research in the city since 1896. Carried by a land between land and sea in which the challenges and problems of living are multiplied, this cluster, in partnership with INRA for over 50 years, has continued to evolve in the service of Brittany and the entire agri-food sector. This school trains agronomists and agri-food specialists. In this place, the training offer is unique in France: There are 4 engineers, 16 master courses, 11 research departments between Rennes and Angers but also 135 researchers. All in order to cover the sciences of the plant and agrosystèmes, the animal sciences and production, the environment, the sea and the coastline, food, bio-industries, the economy and policy of resources and territories and bio-mathematical. A partner of INRA and Ifremer, the campus is at the centre of the first French agricultural and maritime basin. In 2007, he became the first French institution to win ISO 9001: 2000 for the quality of his services.
