CONSERVATOIRE À RAYONNEMENT RÉGIONAL
Music, dance and theater are the arts that the Rennes Conservatory provides to students from 6 to 30 years old. Another mission, not least, is in its interventions every week with 3,500 children in rennes schools. In addition to classical instruments, courses are offered in ancient or traditional music, but also in jazz and contemporary music amplified. The Arts-Studies Cycle "with developed schedules, combines artistic and traditional lessons." In dance, classical and contemporary disciplines are offered. There is also discipline teaching such as music at school, singing or even accompaniment. For all degrees, studies are organized in three cycles and eventually followed by vocational guidance. A non-graduate course is also offered in the form of workshops. Meetings with professionals are common thanks to the numerous partnerships established by the structure. The Conservatory also offers a rich and varied cultural season in the forms and aesthetics covered (approximately 17,000 spectators per year for over a hundred performances) that allows students to experience the stage experience conceived as an integral part of the training provided. The Conservatory also houses a documentation center for students and teachers throughout the region who can benefit from access to a wealth of more than 18,000 partitions, 2,800 books, 4,500 CD/vinyl, 300 Dvds and subscription to about fifteen specialized journals. Don't hesitate to go there! It is a great place for art lovers… Great novelty is the construction by 2020 of a new building for the Conservatory in the Blosne neighborhood. The new building will host the lessons of current music, collective practices, dance and theater and will have an auditorium of 300 seats.
