ECAM RENNES
Founded in 1991, Ecam trains engineers and this school was born with four uncommon founders because they were engineers-contractors with recognized experience. He gave birth to this school, which then took the name Louis de Broglie, Nobel Prize for Physics in 1929. This school adopts the motto "Science for Man" and aims to train engineers by and for the company. It integrates after a prepa, a DUT or a master's degree, trains general engineers (electronics, production, computer science, materials, technical purchases and industrial property) and issues two diplomas recognized as Masters: a diploma of general engineer under student status, and an engineering degree, industrial engineering specialization, through learning. In short, ECAM proposes three years of studies in contact with the company to train field engineers. This is a progressive acquisition of the scientific and technical competence of the engineer and the exercise of responsibility. The focus is on learning the basic tools of the mathematics, physics, computer and technology engineer. Finally, an initiation of the professional use of these bases, mainly through the realization of an industrial project for a client company is proposed, as is the deepening of the "Engineer" dimension, particularly through the engineering internship and its review. The school also offers continuous training courses for employees in business. The extra school is very developed there: its students are, for example, the origin of a sailing association, a carpool website, a food bank or an inter-school sports tournament. Other assets: numerically reasonable staff, numerous contacts with companies and affiliated university residence.
