Created in 1987, the FACULTY Mathematics is a component of the University of Rennes 1. Composed of about 80 teachers-researchers, 40 phd students and 15 technical and administrative staff, it offers complete training in the European framework of the DMLS scheme (License, Master, Doctorate). The proposed masters are co-accredited by several universities and large schools. The FACULTY also offers preparations for the Association's (external and internal) and CAPES competitions, as well as a Magistère diploma in common with the British Branch of the Supérieure Ecole Normale Supérieure. The training courses are based on research conducted in the laboratory IRMAR (Institut de recherche mathématique de Rennes, UMR 6625 of the CNRS). The IRMAR has distinguished itself for several years at the international level in the first 100 places of the Shanghai World Ranking.
