The Training and Research Unit (FACULTY) in Social Sciences is a component of the Rennes 2 University. Consisting of 3 training departments, 4 research units and the Cefocop (Training Centre for Psychologists Counselling Counsellors), the Social Sciences and Humanities group comprises 83 teachers-researchers, 11 associate professors, 23 persons involved in administrative and technical missions and close to 4 000 students (doctoral licensing, initial training or continuing training). Located in the A and B buildings of the Villejean campus, this FACULTY comprises four departments - Economic and Social Administration (AES), Geography and Spatial planning, History and Applied mathematics and Social Sciences (MASS). Students benefit from a computer, audiovisual, documentary environment: computer rooms specialized in mapping, remote sensing, statistics. The library of FACULTY consists of a library and an map of over 40 000 documents. All training of the FACULTY Social Sciences is open to international exchanges. Students are encouraged, during their curricula, to attend at least one semester of training at a foreign university. To facilitate the integration and education of foreign students, the FACULTY Social Sciences has established a personalized reception and monitoring of these students. The FACULTY Social Sciences organizes ongoing training activities and opens its training to new audiences through the VAE (Validation of Experience).
