MDPH (MAISON DÉPARTEMENTALE DES PERSONNES HANDICAPÉES)
The Disabled Persons'House is a unique public service place in Ille-et-Vilaine to welcome, inform, orient and accompany disabled people. It combines all the competences involved today in supporting disabled people and their families. It works as a single window for all approaches related to disability. This place of reception is open to persons with disabilities (irrespective of the origin and nature of the disability, age and place of residence), their families, professionals, associations, etc. Created in January 2006, the MDPH ensures the reception of disabled children and adults and informs them according to their needs: aid in general or special needs such as housing or vocational guidance. It houses the Committee on Rights and Autonomy and the Departmental compensation fund. These structures are ex-COTOREP, STR and SVA. In addition, other associations with a specific disability provide hotlines at the associative health unit. This is a unique public service place and information centre that can provide practical solutions.
