LE CERCLE PAUL BERT
Founded in 1884 under the name of the former students of the Halle des Toiles, the Cercle Paul Bert is now an independent educational association belonging to the League of Education and Lifelong Learning. Three master words: secularism, democracy and solidarity. What has always motivated - and still animates - action is the educational role it plays with children in public schools. The objective? Inducing them to think by themselves, understanding the other and the world and being a responsible individual. Through its local associations, the circle offers all the city, leisure, cultural and sporting activities (more than eighty). Open to everyone, they are notoriously valued, since there are no fewer than 1 500 members… for the only youth sector! The Paul Bert Circle is one of the largest rennaises associations, employing two hundred employees and receiving the support of a hundred volunteers. In the Paul Bert Circle, you can find several activities such as puck, chess, theatre, Thai boxing, urban dance, yoga, volleyball, leisure and even school accompaniment. If you wish to become a cercliste, please do not hesitate to contact the nearest circle.
