The Companions built came together after the Second World War, with the aim of rebuilding the country in part destroyed by war. Since then, they have extended their mission to other countries in the world, where they are conducting self-help actions in an ideal of peace among peoples. The association is approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
What do they propose ? The Companions Builders organize three types of chantiers: workshops with people in difficulty (habitat improvement, building centre construction), safeguard yards (heritage restoration) and environmental protection sites.
Where ? In France, Europe and many countries around the world.
Prices and conditions. There are specific workshops in France for 15-17 years, for families, and others for adults abroad. No jurisdiction is required. The yards last for about days, but there is a possibility of volunteering and staying several months. About 35 hours of work on the project per week for adults, 20 pm for teens. Everyone parcticipe to collective life. The requested participation ranges from € 40 for volunteers to € 110 for non-members of the network, for construction in France, and from 50 € € to € 180 for abroad. Accommodation and food are provided, but transportation is at your disposal.
