CANAL B (94.0)

Canal B came into being in 1984 in the small village of Bruz. A Bruz channel which never stopped growing and shaking Rennes inhabitants' ears with rock music rhythms. All in all, this curious frequency-modulated radio is seen as the "radio la plus rock à l'Ouest de l'Oural" (the rockest radio in the western Ural) has largely gone beyond its thirties! This associative radio is THE musical station in Rennes, undeniable and undisputed. Any self-respecting Rennes inhabitant has at least once listened to a small B show which turns the volume up and up. Unmissable when it comes to getting information on cultural events in Rennes, Canal B broadcasts almost 24 hours a day, and has been for a long time a nightly must-listen radio for insomniacs. Here we can listen to all music genres, from folk music to pop via reggae, techno, death metal, hardcore, and styles that have not yet been invented. It is also the best showcase of local associative activism, whereby stakeholders in the matter express themselves. For neo-Rennes inhabitants, it is the frequency to plug in to know what is happening in town. Like so, generations of hosts succeed one another and many have been fed with Philippe Braud's show, the man who drew the rock reference swifter than his shadow and former record dealer at the missed Rennes Musique. DJ Zebra, former member of Billy Ze Kick, also gave his voice to Canal B. In Short, Canal B's schoolboy activism makes the 94 MHz an eminently audible frequency.
