TV BREIZH
Created under the initiative of the Costarmoricans, Patrick Le Lay who is the former chairman of the first channel, with the support of celebrities attached to the region such as Patrick Poivre-d'Arvor and Charles Biétry, TV Breizh has been broadcasting since 1st September 2000. Founded in the multimedia stronghold of Lorient, TV Breizh has undergone several phases of transition. Gradually since 2003, this small TV station stopped broadcasting its programmes in Breton. It later had an increase in the number of its audience. In June 2011, TV Breizh was the leader among TV channels paying cable and satellite through Canal+ sports. At the end of November 2011, CSA decided that the subsidiary of TF1 will not be granted a free channel on TNT. The historic channel is, however, present on the ADSL box. Today, the channel offers series (Agatha Christie's Poirot etc.), cinema (Notting Hill etc.) and a variety (the old shows of Enfoirés).
