MUSÉE DE LA DANSE - CCNRB
The ambiguity of the name makes the wealth of the place. Boris Charmatz, the director, tries not to lock the dance behind windows but to make the heritage live. Create a living museum that revisits the pieces that have made the history of discipline, support artistic creation and enable artists to happen. On the premises of the city center and on the Garage, a former… garage on rue André and Yvonne Meynier, the dance museum offers exhibitions, rehearses and performances. In the garage, three large studios of nearly 300 m ² and two others of 93 and 145 m ² (shared with the Rennes Métropole Dance Collective) allow the Rennes dancers and other artists to work and to perform in the best conditions. Every Tuesday and Thursday, the Rennais can also take advantage of the technical courses and workshops for children. Professional training is always possible by contacting St. Mélaine Street offices. Many competitions are also offered. A stunning place for dancing lovers.
