HÔTEL DE CHÂTEAUGIRON
A hidden treasure on rue Corbin, the Hôtel de Commandement, a witness to history, is opening its doors for the Heritage Days.
Located in rue Corbin, near Saint-Germain church, the Hôtel de Commandement de l'officier général de la zone de défense et de sécurité Ouest, built in 1610 by André Barrin, has been modified by its various owners. Renamed Lézonnet, then Hôtel de Châteaugiron, it was restored by Princess Napoléone Élisa Baciocchi in 1860. Despite having been listed as a Monument Historique since 1967, it is generally closed, but open during the Journées du Patrimoine, allowing visitors to discover its rich past and remarkable garden.
