Museum exhibiting the works seized from the religious and civil buildings of Rennes segmented by periods and artistic currents.
Founded in 1794, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rennes boasts a fine permanent collection accessible to all. The museum boasts masterpieces such as Georges de La Tour's The Newborn, Rubens' The Tiger Hunt , Caillebotte's Perissoires and Picasso's La Baigneuse à Dinard. Among the temporary exhibitions, the one dedicated to Candice Hazouard, photographer and film-maker, is well worth a look, as it questions and collects the memories of the inhabitants of the Trente Glorieuses.
