Green park with a lawn bowling alley, bicycle path, amphitheater, sculptures and belvedere, a beautiful address for a walk.
The Maurepas Park was designed in 1936 by the company Moser de Versailles and was then created in 1938 by Mayor Jean Lemaistre. Located a few meters from the Assomption High School, it offers 6.5 hectares of greenery. There is a great way to go and stop there because many surprises await you like a butterfly, a bicycle path, an amphitheater, sculptures and a belveved. On the spot, you can enjoy the lawn, trees, plants, trails to walk and especially play areas. You can even play balls or take your children to the 300 meter cycle path: they can learn the road code. A sandbox and a garnish are also present. There are still rowing beds, boules and curtains cut in curtains. It is also appreciated that the real-estate portal, whose concrete portico reminds us of the geometric shapes of the 1930 s: it provides support for climbing roses. This garden, which retains the only two copies of parasitic parasols, has been decorated, since 2002, with a bronze bull sculpted by the artist Louis Derbré. Therefore, we appreciate its alleys and large spaces that always lend itself to devotion and restorative walks. The big lawns on which we can sit, walk or try the ball also have a great success: So there are no large expanses made only for the pleasure of the eyes. There are also multiple swings for the most arduous. A former central basin is now destined for sports on wheels.
