GARDEN OF THE CONFLUENCE
2,600 m² garden offering greenery and calm, with works by a Norman artist resembling large spider webs.
Near the Schumann bridge below the mall, this garden lies at the confluence of the Ille and Vilaine rivers. It's a pleasant place to stroll along the banks or across the footbridges. With a surface area of some 2,600 m², it offers the people of Rennes greenery and calm, just a stone's throw from the city. Bald cypresses and metasequoias make up these water gardens, alongside insect hotels. Last but not least, a number of follies populate the site, including works by Normandy artist Stéphanie Buttier, similar to large spider webs that have been placed on poles.
