ST. GEORGE'S POOL
A charming swimming pool, the oldest in Rennes, a living monument of Rennes heritage to discover.
A landmark of 1920s hygienism still in use today, this resplendent site is reminiscent of the spa resorts of the belle époque. Built in 1926 in the Art Deco style by Odorico, Rennes' emblematic mosaic artist, it is the oldest swimming pool in Rennes. Entirely lined with bluish tesserae, its 33 x 14 m pool and unchanged architecture (with the exception of the ceiling) give it a special, timeless beauty. A living monument to Rennes' heritage, to be visited even without dipping a toe in!
