VASSELOT STREET
Rue Vasselot is one of the streets in Rennes that has retained its soul and charm of yesteryear.
There are streets in Rennes that have retained more of their soul and charm of yesteryear: such is the case of Rue Vasselot, born in the 15th century, with its beautiful half-timbered houses. At no. 34, take a look at the semi-circular double staircase of the house that once housed the Carmes convent, with its carved wooden balusters. This lively street is home to delicatessens, cheesemongers, antique shops, bootmakers, barbers and tea and honey stores. Most of the restaurants are located in the second part of the street, after the intersection with rue du Maréchal-Joffre.
