La Criée is the center of contemporary art in Rennes. This easy-to-reach gallery located in the city center is nestled in the Halles building. The Rennes go there to discover contemporary creations, stunning, surprising, amazing artists from the region or elsewhere. It is a good place to push the door to admire or be surprised by this space filled with surprises and inventiveness constantly renewed. This place of exhibition but also of creation and support for young artists rests on a large expo hall (135 m ²) and two small rooms: they welcome 4/5 annual projects that Criée will have taken care of and support from start to finish. The team, young and passionate, can accompany and guide its audience in the face of work that can ask for more explanations than others. The works presented are links between culture, art, history and territory.
