France's second-largest market celebrates its 400th anniversary in 2022. Our smart tip: start your visit at the lower end of Place des Lices to stock up on fruit and vegetables, then head for the West hall, where you'll find artisanal pasta and butchers. Pass by the food trucks for the unmissable galette saucisse, then head for the east hall with its bakers, honey, jam and herbal tea producers. Visit the fish market, stop off at the coffee roaster before strolling through the flower market. Finally, take advantage of the Rennes terraces and the godinette.
