The mill of Quinard mentioned as early as 1806 used the force of the tides. At each of them, a water reserve was filled. Water was withheld and then discharged by creating energy. At the end of the nineteenth century, Prosper Dargone was equipped with a steam machine. Thus the mill of Quinard had accumulated the tidal energy and thermal energy. The mill ceased all activities in 1925.
