Magnificent Saint-Vincent cathedral, with superb figurative stained-glass windows, featuring chapels in the north ambulatory of the choir.

Restored after being damaged by WWII bombing raids, Saint-Vincent Cathedral is a magnificent example of sacred art from the 12th to the 21st century. Built in the 12th century by Jean de Châtillon, it boasts superb stained-glass windows. The chapels in the north ambulatory of the choir contain the actual tombs of Jacques Cartier and René Duguay-Trouin. His remains were recovered in Paris in 1973 and repatriated to Saint-Malo for the tercentenary of his birth. Several statues can be seen, including that of the Virgin and Child.
