Visit this museum to learn about the military challenges facing the city of Saint-Malo and its port during the war.
Over 500m2, the permanent exhibition of the 1939-1945 memorial presents the military stakes of the town and its port during the conflict. Photos, mannequins, weapons and illustrations describe the 1940 invasion, the port, the German defensive plan, the construction of bunkers, the Battle of Saint-Malo and the Liberation. Two thematic guided tours on the events of this war and on the history of 17th-century French and20th-century German fortifications are available. A visit to a machine-gun firing post is sure to please everyone. A must!
