Located in the Rothéneuf district, the Pointe de la Varde covers 6 hectares and is a perfect nature walk between two swims. It is framed by the family beach of Pont to the south and the narrow beach of Nicet to the northeast while it culminates at 32 meters above the sea. It has been very well developed by the Conservatoire du Littoral and a trail allows you to discover the biodiversity of the place. Strategic place of defense, vestiges of German blockhouses are still there but it is today a haven of peace for many birds.
