Mécabois and Jouécabois are two brands of natural wood toys developed by A+.
A member of the Produit en Bretagne association, the company manufactures and assembles its toys in Ille-et-Villaine. Jouécabois is also part of the Je joue français operation.
History. A+ was founded in 2007 by parents keen to offer their children toys that were both ecological and intelligent. Since then, the Breton company has never strayed from its original philosophy. It develops and markets its natural wood constructions through two brands: Mécabois for supermarkets, and Jouécabois for specialist toy and ecological product distributors. Backed by the family's nine-hectare Grouazel sawmill in Saint-Sauveur-des-Landes, A+ manufactures wooden planks. Thanks to this concept, children - and adults too - can exercise their dexterity as well as their imagination. All games are eco-responsible and locally produced. The company, managed by Christophe Fresnais, uses only wood from sustainably managed forests, with no treatment, oil, kerosene or varnish.
The products. Jouécabois offers kits of wooden mini-boards, all the same size and packaged in boxes of different sizes. There are boxes of 200 and 400 pieces, a box of 80 pieces in redwood and, for toddlers, a barrel of 100 pieces in nine different shapes.
Jouécabois and Mécabois also offer skittle and shuffleboard games.
