SAINT-ANDRÉ CHURCH
Church built in the Romanesque period, with a bell tower and a sacristy dating back to the 18th century in Val Couesnon
Located in Antrain, the church of Saint-André was built in the Romanesque period, but features more modern, Gothic elements. A few Romanesque vestiges remain: most of the nave, the transept and an apsidal chapel to the north. The church and chevet were restored in the 16th century. The upper part of the bell tower and the sacristy date back to the 18th century. The north chapel overlooking the choir dates from the late 19th century. The south door of the nave was named Porte des Femmes (Women's Door) because it was used by women to get up after childbirth.
