Chateau with magnificent parklands in two different styles and a wildlife park.

Château de la Rouërie dates back to the ^18th century and is listed as a Monument Historique. The Marquis de Fougères Charles-Armand Tuffin de La Rouërie grew up here. He was a hero of the American War of Independence, devoted to Brittany and King Louis XVI. You'll discover a magnificent park laid out in two different styles (French garden to the east and English garden to the west), as well as an animal park with a sheepfold where the most beautiful breeds of sheep in the world graze (Holland, England...). Allow one to two hours for the walk.

Opening time and information on THE CASTLE OF THE ROUERIE

High season: open Monday to Friday, 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm; Sundays, 2 pm to 6:30 pm. Open for groups all year round by reservation. Open to individuals from early June to late September. Free admission for children under 12. 12 years and over: €5. Gîtes for rent and direct sale of cider and apple juice. Guided tours (approx. 1 hour). Private receptions on Saturdays.

Lieu magnifique (en plus sous le soleil) quoi de mieux..bonnes prestations et organisation excellente du personnel pour organiser vos banquets.fetes de famille ou autres prestations vous pouvez aussi louer les gites.(pratique sur place.)..il y aussi les salles ..en cas de mauvais temps...
