TRILLION-DOLLAR MILL
The Billion windmill, in operation since the century, is a veritable treasure trove.
Classified as a historical monument on 28 December 1979, the Billion windmill, which dates from the 16th and 19th centuries, was in operation from 1541 to 1974, when the last miller retired. In 1904, the movement was upgraded and renovated. It is equipped with two pairs of grinding wheels and has kept its operating mechanism intact. It is now private property (it is still possible to approach it). Funds were raised in 2018 for renovations. It can therefore be observed from afar, or one can watch the programmes of the Heritage Days (third weekend in September) or the Country and Mill Heritage Days (last weekend in June).
