MICHÈLE JARNOUX
Michèle Jarnoux is an artist and sculptor who works mainly with ceramics and fused glass. Her sculptures bear witness to her passion for nature and environmental preservation, restoring nature's relief and distinctive features. Her artistic work is based on the transformation of matter, without any prior model or drawing. Shapes are born from her hands, blending accident and control to create a unique meaning. His first work, entitled "Empreintes et Variations", brings to life figures emerging from the rock, bordering on abstraction. Her "Mémoires de la Mer" series explores the effects of textured matter evoking coral, combining glass and ceramics. The artist recently discovered a process that creates a foam-like effect in glass, adding a marvellous dimension to her sculptures. Michèle Jarnoux's works play with perception and transformation, preserving the secrecy of a sophisticated manufacturing process. The transparency of glass evokes water and foam, while its roughness recalls the earth. The sculptures are worked in depth with light and shadow effects, creating a particular attraction to movement.
