Ailleurs Café, a café and bookshop dedicated to adventurous literature, opened its doors in May 2023 in an old building flanked by a medieval tower filled with antique objects. The inspiration behind the project came from Odile and Xavier, two inspired souls who set down their trunks in Auray to continue their immobile journey. A number of tutelary figures watch over the place, including Kessel, London, Henry de Monfreid and Alexandra David-Néel. On the food side, savoury platters, home-made pastries and cocktails. Two lounges, exhibitions and concerts.
