Its external buttresses asserting its Romanesque origin is found in the south wing. Rebuilt in the 19th century, according to the architectural plans of Department Emile Ame who adopted a 12th century style, the reconstruction work of the church was completed on the 17th November, 1861, while the spire of the bell tower, which was built in 1864, was assembled in 1866. In 1869, the rector acquired a monumental wooden altarpiece, which dates back to the 16th century and was brought in from Chapelle de la Chartreuse d'Auray. It was assembled and completed by the sculptor, Le Brun de Lorient. It was classified as a historical monument by Les Beaux Arts in 1912. Outside, you will find two Gallic steles near the porch.
