Museum with numerous documents and personal objects recalling the life and exploits of the aviator Joseph Le Brix.
Inaugurated on June 11th, 2006, the museum has 4 permanent exhibition rooms, 1 temporary exhibition room and is managed by the association des amis du musée de Baden (Association of "Friends of Baden Museum"). One of the rooms is dedicated to the aviator Joseph Le Brix, born in 1899 in Baden and who died in an air crash in the Ural in 1931 as he tried to fly directly from Paris to Tokyo. Many documents and personal objects retracing his life and exploits, indeed, he was the first one to fly across the South Atlantic in 1927, accompanied by his travel companion, Costes. During your visit, you can listen to recordings of Le Brix and Costes as they narrate their adventure. Another room is dedicated to collections donated by Anne and Jean Farkas, famous manufacturers of ancient automata and enthusiasts collectors of toys and art objects. The collection consists of dolls, ceramic toys, paintings and robots etc. An exhibition about ship models and accordions collection from 1840 to 1960 (Mr Le Pipec's donation and temporary exhibitions).
