THE VENUS OF QUINIPILY
Venus dominating the Blavet and Saint-Nicolas-des-Eaux, adored, abused and thrown into the river twice.
This granite Venus, 2.2 metres high, was enthroned until the 17th century on the Castennec promontory overlooking the Blavet and Saint-Nicolas-des-Eaux. Like a pagan idol, she was worshipped, mistreated and thrown into the river twice... To be withdrawn in 1695 by Pierre de Lannion, Lord of Quinipily. The latter had her transported to his castle, which is now destroyed. The terraced garden in which the statue is located has been specially designed to highlight the work (probably altered in previous centuries).

Mais non il nous a été demandé un prix d'entrée car sur un terrain privé ce que je n'apprécie pas en général.
De plus il commençait à pleuvoir aussi nous avons décidé de ne pas donner suite à cette visite. Dommage .
