HOSTELLERIE MOUNET-SULLY
In Bergerac, the Lonvaud-Peslerbe family has long been very attached to the Château de Mounet-Sully, but for a time, they wanted to sell it but they did not take into account the Laurent Peslerbe's desire to revive this castle which, in the past, was dedicated to party. Mounet-Sully, an actor of the early 20th century from Bergerac, had this "little fantasy" built in the garden of the family home. Today the amazing juxtaposition of Romanesque, Gothic or Renaissance items makes this residence one of the most original in Périgord. The actor received there his friends from Comédie Française, including Sarah Bernhardt who was once his companion, but also Pierre Loti or Clemenceau. With his friend Stéphane Dubreuilh, Laurent Peslerbe revives the hospitality tradition by opening a bar every Saturday evening and allowing artists to showcase their works. You can find yourself in a very nice setting for a drink accompanied by menus of cheeses, cold cuts, or mixed. Concerts are planned in the Romanesque Revival cloister in summer. Laurent Peslerbe has also created houses and guest rooms.
