PARISH CHURCH OF ST. THURIAU

Dating back to 1809, the present church has undergone a number of restorations. In 1828, the Duchess of Berry gratifia the commune of relief for repair: the steeple located near the coast would be a useful point of view for browsers. In 1904, the church received three beautiful new bells from Villedieu-les-Poêles. The remains of the Saint-Yves Chapel, destroyed in 1960, can be discovered because of the lack of means to repair it. Its stones were effectively used to build the pignon located at the southwest corner of the church's enclosure. For the little story, we also know that the vault of the nave houses a bat colony. It is rare and protected, and visitors are asked not to disturb them.
