A modest rectangular building, the chapel was built in 1606. This is confirmed by the semicircular architecture of the western door. On the other hand, it would have undergone some restorations later on. But the Saint-André de Lomarec chapel is best known for its Merovingian stone sarcophagus, which has attracted the attention of archaeologists. The statues of St. Andrew and the Virgin and Child decorate the choir. There is also a beautiful stained glass window restored in 1999. Namely: the apostle Saint Andrew is honoured for his power to cure whooping cough, probably because his name has a certain homonymy with the Breton word "an drew" or "an driu" which refers to this disease. So we drove the children who suffered from it. It was also easier to soak the linens, and sometimes the bodies, in the nearest fountain.
