The commune of Guéhenno is home to the only monumental calvary in Morbihan. A treasure trove of Breton architecture, built in the heart of a parish enclosure, the granite calvary tells the story of the Passion of Christ and of the Breton Chouannerie. Built in 1550, during Brittany's golden age, and almost totally destroyed during the French Revolution, it was restored in 1853 by Abbé Jacquot. Classified as a historic monument, it is exceptional for the richness of its composition and its eventful history.
