MUSEUM SPACE LES BAINS DE LA REINE
Much of the rich heritage of Guéméné-Sur-Scorff comes from the Rohan family, one of the oldest nobilities in Brittany. This is how we can discover, in a renovated old car garage, a medieval oven built in the 14th century by Jean I of Rohan for his wife Jeanne of Navarre. It is one of the three medieval ovens that can be discovered in France! "The Queen's Baths" thus traces the hygiene of the Middle Ages and presents us with this system from the Turkish baths and Roman baths, which then functioned like a sauna... The museum area presents "the queen's baths" but also offers the projection of a film on hygiene, the presentation of objects related to body care, a model of the castle... And to go further, conferences, animations, flash visits and even night visits are available. If you wish to visit the Grand Rampart, the Vieux Logis or the Porterie des Rohan, it is free of charge, as is the salle des Gardes, which is open during the opening hours of the reception.
