THE MILL OF THE HALF-CITY
An exceptional mill built from the stones of the old Demi-Ville manor house, the last tidal mill on the River Étel.
The house and the mixed-energy (water and tidal) mill were built with stones from the former manor house of Demi-Ville. Its wooden and paddle wheel measures about 6 metres in diameter. Demi-Ville is one of the lordships present on the territory of the parish since the 13th century. In 1200, it belonged to Tristan du Bahuno, then to the families of Villeblanche and Perrien. This mill is the last tide mill on the river Etel!
