BERDER ISLAND
A small island with surprising vegetation reminiscent of the Mediterranean, home to a boat graveyard at low tide.
A pure jewel of greenery belonging to the municipality of Larmor-Baden, this small 23-hectare island boasts an astonishing vegetation, strangely reminiscent of the Mediterranean. It shelters the remains of two dolmens and, at low tide, a boat cemetery and oyster and mussel beds. Private, the island of Berder remains accessible to visitors on its periphery, because only the coastal path is public. You can get there on foot, at low tide, and it takes about an hour to walk around. Beware of the tide times, more than one was surprised!
