LA BASE
Establishment in front of the marina in Lorient with bar and restaurant, terrace and garden area to sip a cocktail
A beautiful establishment, both chic and friendly, La Base is a place that is no longer seen in Lorient and where everyone meets: sailors, families, friends, sales staff... Located opposite the marina, next to the trimarans, the Pen Duicks and next to the Cité de la Voile, the establishment offers you two areas that are one: the bar and the restaurant. In winter, installed near the fireplace inside or on the heated terrace, you can enjoy the harbour air in front of one (or two) skewers of meat (your choice: chicken, beef, lamb, duck breast), fish (salmon, tuna, hake, scallops) or a salad meal. In summer, the place takes out its joker and it is on the half-long chairs in the "garden" area that people rushes to have the chance to sip a pint or a cocktail, lulled by the sun shimmering on the water.
Practical: an outside bar has been set up to limit waiting time inside. One piece of advice though: hurry up. At aperitif time, the places are crowded... The Bretons are often thirsty!

The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
The atmosphere is very friendly with a few small concerts organised from time to time and tasteful which is not given in all the bar/restaurants.
The drinks menu is vast with fine wines, whiskies, rum and accompany with a sausage (natural, walnut, pepper, roquefort.) or potted tuna
The menu for meals is quite basic: salads or kebabs but it is extra! Choice of 4 fishes, 4 meats for kebabs and accompanied by beans and potato with butter...: O
Good appetite...
