MILLENNIUM VILLAGE
A site housing the Melrand archaeological center and which presents a lively and varied image of life in Central Brittany
Inhabited since the year 1000, the site has been deserted several times by its inhabitants. The Centre Archéologique de Melrand presents a lively and varied picture of life in Central Brittany a thousand years ago. We discover the various aspects of medieval life: the excavations of the village of Lanngouh in the 11th century, rural housing (medieval houses have been reconstructed for the occasion), agricultural experiments in rural areas (experimental garden), daily life and medieval animals (Breton pie noir cow, Ouessant sheep...).
